A austríaca Anja Franziska Plaschg é conhecida no mundo da música como SOAP&SKIN e vem ao EXTRAMURALHAS 2024 para um concerto exclusivo que assiná-la a sua estreia em Portugal. Nascida em 1990 e ativa com este projeto desde 2006, a artista leva já três álbuns com selo da renomada editora Play It Again Sam, “Lovetune For Vacuum” (2009), “Narrow” (2012) e “From Gas To Solid / You Are My Friend” e ainda uma banda sonora, “Des Teufels Bad” (2024). Na sua música viajamos por um mundo povoado de luz e negritude em simultâneo, num ambiente que abraça maioritariamente a música neoclássica, mas onde, amiúde, encontramos elementos da música experimental, da darkwave, da música marcial e industrial e até do sadcore. A sua voz, que às vezes parece ter tantas vozes (o seu timbre quase polifónico é uma das magias que esta cantora – e também exímia pianista – provoca em quem a ouve) eleva-nos a alma e faz-nos flutuar. Algumas das suas canções podem ser ouvidas em filmes como “War Games: At The End Of The Day” e “Sicilian Ghost Story”, e em séries de culto como “Breaking Bed” ou “Dark”. Não é de estranhar, por isso, que o seu tema “Me And The Devil”, por exemplo, tenha mais de 100 milhões de audições no Spotify. The Austrian Anja Franziska Plaschg is known in the music world as SOAP&SKIN and comes to EXTRAMURALHAS 2024 for an exclusive concert that will mark her debut in Portugal. Born in 1990 and active with this project since 2006, the artist already has three albums under the renowned label Play It Again Sam, “Lovetune For Vacuum” (2009), “Narrow” (2012), and “From Gas To Solid / You Are My Friend,” as well as a soundtrack, “Des Teufels Bad” (2024). In her music, we travel through a world populated by both light and darkness simultaneously, in an environment that predominantly embraces neoclassical music, but where we often find elements of experimental music, darkwave, martial and industrial music, and even sadcore. Her voice, which sometimes seems to have many voices (her almost polyphonic timbre is one of the enchantments that this singer – and also skilled pianist – evokes in those who listen to her), lifts our souls and makes us float. Some of her songs can be heard in films like “War Games: At The End Of The Day” and “Sicilian Ghost Story,” and in cult series like “Breaking Bad” or “Dark.” It’s no wonder, therefore, that her track “Me And The Devil,” for example, has over 100 million streams on Spotify.
